Rules & Regulations

General Guidelines:
• Participants must carry an official letter duly signed by the appropriate authority of their respective Institution permitting them to attend the event (Single letter mentioning the names of all the participants of different events would be appreciated).
• All participants must be current students of their respective Institutions.
• Participants must carry their Institutional ID cards with them.
• Participants must report at the event venue thirty minutes prior to the commencement of the event. (an hour before for the participation in Ad-Mad and Budding Journalist)
• Please check the closing dates for registration for various events.
• IISU has full and sole discretionary power of expelling participants on grounds of indiscipline, misbehavior, or any other inappropriate activity.
• Anything that can be perceived as being offensive to national/ religious/ communal/ gender sentiments etc. will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Team VIVIDHA is not responsible for any event clashes, kindly check the schedule on a prior basis.
• Any issues arising due to technical/connectivity glitches will not be the responsibility of the Event Coordinators or Team VIVIDHA.
• IIS University shall not be responsible for any theft or damage of personal belongings.
• Decision of the Judges' shall be final and binding on all.
• All rights are reserved by IIS (deemed to be) University, Jaipur and the Team VIVIDHA.

Break ho Jaye (AD MAD)
Date: March 24th, 2023
Time: 11:30 – 1.00 am onwards
Time limit:1 ½ minutes to 2 minutes
Team size:3-4 participants
• Only team entries are allowed.
• Language of the performance can be Hindi, English or bilingual.
• Ad can be enacted in a jingle form, dialogue form or a mixture of both.
• Topic will be provided an hour before the performance.
• Ad may comprise of a good script, sound effects, background music and punch.
• Usage of explicit, vulgar and abusive content is strictly prohibited.
• Performances will be judged on the basis of concept, imagination, acting skills, music & sound effects and over all presentation.
Note: Use of mobile phones and laptops is permitted for sound effects and music. Self-created music will be preferred.

Rock n Roll (Reel Making)

Time limit: 30 seconds to 60 seconds
Themes: Motivation/ Satire/ Comedy
• Only individual entries are allowed.
• Entries must be submitted latest by the 11:59 pm of March 23rd, 2023.
• The reels should be submitted at vividha2023@gmail.com with the
subject ‘Reels’.
• Participants are required to mention their name, their Institution’s name and contact
• number as well.
• Judgement will be based on photographic clarity, creativity and originality.
• Explicit, abusive or vulgar content is not allowed.
• Submission of more than 1 entry will lead to disqualification.

• Only individual entries are allowed.
• Categories for Open Mic are Singing, Stand-Up, Poetry recital, Shayari, Story-telling.
• Language of the performance can be Hindi, English or bilingual.
• Presentation time will be two minutes only.
• Usage of explicit, vulgar and abusive content is strictly prohibited.
• Participants will be judged on the basis of voice modulation, articulation, pronunciation and overall presentation.

• 4 pictures on one of the following themes is to be submitted.
• Coloured prints of size 6x4 inches have to be submitted. Name of the participant and his/her Institution must be written at the back.
• The prints must be submitted latest by March 24, 2023 12:30 p.m. to the coordinators.
• Judgement will be based on photographic clarity, creativity and originality.
• Explicit, abusive or vulgar content is not allowed.
• Submission of more than 1 entry will lead to disqualification.

Chalchitra Express (Film Festival)

Time: 9:30 am onwards
Categories: Documentary and Fiction
• The total run time of the documentary and fiction film, including opening as well as closing credits, should strictly be a minimum of 2 minutes and maximum of 10 minutes.
• The fiction film and documentary can be in any language. However, all films must include sub-titles in English.
• Entries must be submitted latest by 11:59 pm of March 23rd, 2023, on vividha2023@gmail.com with the subject “Film”.
• Each film must be submitted with a defined title.
• Entries submitted must be the original works of the participants and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other third-party rights.
• Judgement will be based on:
o Content originality
o Production
o Post- Production
o Image
o Sound quality.

Express Buzz (Budding Journalist)

Time limit: 5 minutes

• Only individual entries are allowed.
• Participants are required to ferret out significant happenings and compose a news bulletin out of the provided matter and present it on camera within stipulated time frame.
• Participants can present the news in format of AUDIO VISUAL and can take help of electronic gadgets like camera, sound recorder etc.
• Participants may recite the news bulletin in either English or Hindi.
• Every participant needs to generate 5 headlines and 2 descriptive stories out of them.

Suno Dil Se (RJ Hunt)

Date: March 25th, 2023
Time: 1:00 pm onwards
Time limit: 2 minutes
• Participants are free to speak in Hindi or English.
• There will be 2 rounds:
• I round (Introduction Round. Participants will give an introduction of themselves for maximum 1 minute (excluding one’s name, name of the institution).
• II Round (Creative Thinking & Imaginative Round)
• Participants would be given a topic at the beginning of the event on which they have to prepare a link and will deliver their presentation which should not exceed 60 seconds.
• The participants shall be judged on the basis of the two rounds.
• Participants will be judged on the basis of voice modulation, articulation, pronunciation, creative & imaginative thinking, and overall presentation.
